Bahrain Intercepts Hundreds of Missiles Launched from Iran

(MENAFN) Bahrain reported on Sunday that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 174 missiles and 391 drones aimed at the kingdom since Iranian attacks began on February 28.

According to reports, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said its systems continue to respond to successive waves of what it described as “terrorist Iranian attacks.” No information was provided regarding casualties or damage.

The region has remained on high alert following a US and Israeli offensive against Iran that started on February 28, which has resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has retaliated with missile and drone strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military forces, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
