Bahrain’s Bapco Energies Declares Force Majeure
The announcement comes after a recent strike hit a refinery unit operated by Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of the group.
Despite the disruption, the company emphasized that "all local market needs are secured under the pre-established contingency plans," guaranteeing the uninterrupted supply of fuel and meeting domestic demand, according to a statement on Monday reported by Bahrain News Agency.
The organization also assured that it will maintain communication with partners and other concerned entities regarding any new developments, as detailed in the report.
Tensions in the region have intensified since February 28, when the US and Israel conducted a joint assault on Iran, resulting in more than 1,200 casualties, including the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf nations hosting US military facilities.
